New Yaesu Vertex FTM-10R

Yaesu/Vertex is about to come out with a new amateur radio, the FTM-10R.


It should be a dual band transceiver with wide band receive capabilities. FCC Approved on 15 February 2007.

Some of the features described in the user manual:



  • Wide Band Receive, including AM broadcast, WFM radio, air, weather.

  • Angle Sub Panel (Detachable Front Panel?)

  • Bluetooth Capability

  • 50 watt output VHF, 40 watts on UHF

  • Vox (usefully for optional Bluetooth Headset)

  • Dual Receive (FM Radio & HAM Band, or any combination)

  • EPCS (Enhanced Paging & Code Squelch) Operation

  • Alpha Memory Tags

  • WIRES Ready

  • Line-IN (for MP3 player)

  • Public Address/Horn Alert Operation :D


  • I'm hoping/guessing you can admire this new radio at the Dayton Hamvention.

    A call to Yaesu/Vertex yielded a confirmation of this radio, but nothing further was know at this time as far as release dates and or pricing.

    Can't wait untill this radio is sold, i'll try to be one of the first owners!
