Two new Dual-Band Radio's from Kenwood

Two new dualbanders got FCC approved today.

The Kenwood TM-D701A.

and

The Kenwood TM-V71A (TM-V71E in Europe).

The TM-V71A has a feature called Wireless mode, and allows you to control this transceiver with a compatible Kenwood "handy" tranceiver. I'm not quite sure this this exactly works, but it seems like some kind of cross-band repeater function where you can change the output frequency. Cool!

It also features Weather alert, an optional "Voice Recording Module" and a build in Packet TNC.

The TM-D701A appears to be very similar to the TM-D700A and/or TM-D708A, again not sure what's new here...
