It's supposed to be water-proof, IP-57 standard (submerged in water for 30 minutes). And there will be a cool new water-proof bluetooth headset (BH-1). The particular radio is geared towards motorcycle driver, due to it's ruggedness and bluetooth headset. I'm just not sure if it being submersible will benefit a motorcycle driver when he runs his bike in the water.
This model should cost about 54,800 yen.
The last I heard from a Yaesu respresentative is that they are not sure on the release data, but it seems it's sometime this summer. And it will be very competativly priced.
