Based on the FTdx9000 the FT-950 is a contest rig, HF-6m, has a 100 watts, automatic antenna tuner and an optional DMU-2000, where you can add your own monitor to gain features like: bandscope, audio scope, X-Y scope, world clock, rotator control and status display and logging capabilities.
The FT-950 is loaded with features, tailored to digital modes, and more and enhanced filters and signal processing. And there optional uTunning kits for 160, 80/40 and 30/20 meter bands to filter out interference or near signals.
